PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth High School FFA is geared up and ready for a new year with a new officer team and a new advisor.
The 2010-11 FFA Officer team consists of: Tyler Vermillion, president; Dan-ny Stephenson, vice president; Trenton Pletcher, secretary; Karl Faulstich, treasurer; Hunter Sharp, sentinel; and Dani Let-singer, reporter.
Former advisor Larry McCollough retired last year after serving as agriculture teacher and FFA advisor for more than 25 years at Plymouth High School.
The new teacher following McCollough’s shoes is Kelli Hoffman of rural Whitley County.
Hoffman is no stranger to the agriculture industry, FFA, or the business of teaching. She grew up on a diversified grain and livestock farm, served as her chapter and district FFA president, and has spent the past two years teaching agriculture in central western Indiana.
The school year is off and running already with plans for the chapter to host its first-ever soil judging invitational Oct. 2. The chapter is also planning on attending the 83rd National FFA Convention in late October held in Indianapolis. For all the latest news on the Plymouth FFA Chapter, check out its new website at http://ply mouth-in-ffa-chapter.webs.com.
Hoffman invites any Plymouth FFA alumni, Marshall County community members, or anyone else interested in volunteering with the chapter to contact her with suggestions and ideas at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
