Excel Classes to be offered at Bremen Public Library

BREMEN — The Bremen Public Library will offer a three-part class on Excel beginning Monday, Feb. 28. Each class session will be two hours and include “hands-on” work on the library’s laptop computers. No previous experience with Excel is required however, it is expected that patrons who sign up for these classes are able to use a mouse effectively. Registration for these classes begins Monday, Feb. 14.
Excel I will be held Monday, Feb. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class will be an introductory look at Microsoft Excel.It is recommended for people who have no experience setting up a spreadsheet in Excel.Excel can be used to create lists, tables, and forms. This class will focus on how to enter, edit and format information with Excel. Inserting and adjusting rows and columns will also be covered. Suggested Prerequisites: Good mouse and keyboard skills. 
Excel II will be held Monday, March 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class will introduce formulas and autofill. Suggested Prerequisites: Excel I or knowledge of the topics presented in Excel I.
Excel III will be held Monday, March 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class will present a further look at Microsoft Excel and students will work with more complicated formulas, adding headers, footers, borders and more. Suggested Prerequisites: Excel II class.
All classes will be held in the library's meeting room. There is no charge for German Township residents, but students must pre-register to reserve a space.
