Funds will help provide assistance to those in need
GOSHEN — The Michiana chapter of Everence Financial recently awarded a $250 grant to the Family Christian Development Center, located in Nappanee.
The grant will assist individuals and families in need in the Nappanee area. The Family Christian Development Center provides a variety of services, including a food pantry; rent, utility and budget assistance; a medication assistance program; well-baby care and vaccinations for newborns and young children; a Baby CARE closet, Holiday Help programs, and a clothing closet for children and adults.
“We are pleased to award this Everence Chapter Grant to the Family Christian Development Center,” said Brad Miller, Everence Church Relations Representative. “It’s one way we can lend a helping hand, as well as cultivate and enrich the communities and the lives we share.”
In addition to the grant awarded to the Family Christian Development Center, the Everence Michiana chapter also distributed grants to Emerge Ministries (Elkhart), Clothes and Food Basket (LaGrange), and The Window (Goshen).
The Michiana chapter of Everence is a regional group made up of area Everence members. The chapter plans and conducts charitable, social, volunteer and educational stewardship activities focused on helping individuals or families in need, not-for-profit organizations and regional congregations.
