DONALDSON — G. Ernest “Ernie” Rightley, 92, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at 3:10 a.m., at the Catherine Kasper Life Care Center, in Donaldson.
Ernie was born April 27, 1921, in Saint Joseph County, to Peter and Elizabeth Rightley. He moved to Plymouth, at the age of 12, to live with his aunt. Ernie worked on the Woodbury Farm, which is now the Plymouth Rock Golf Course. He later started Rightly Trucking and Marshall County Redi-Mix. Ernie and Bernadine Neal were married in Plymouth, at Saint Michael Catholic Church, on Aug. 18, 1963. Bernadine passed away Jan. 5, 2010. They were both devout members of the church. Ernie also belonged to the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Council 1975.
Ernie is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.
