NAPPANEE — Paul Emmick, chief meteorologist for South Bend-based television station WSBT, will be the featured speaker for this year’s Nappanee Chamber of Commerce awards luncheon.
The lunch is 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Amish Acres.
Table sponsorships, including seating for eight, table sign and preferential seating, are available for $250.
Individual tickets are $25.
Seating is limited, according to Darla Burns with the Nappanee Chamber of Commerce.
Tickets can be purchased with cash, check or credit card. Contact Burns at (574) 773-7812 or via email at darla@nappaneechamber.com.
During the lunch, attendees will be able to hear from a veteran meteorologist who has worked at the national level.
Emmick spent seven years at The Weather Channel in Atlanta.
He has also worked in the Indianapolis, Evansville and Louisville television markets for 16 years.
Emmick also has a master’s degree in organizational communication and a law degree.
Mike Lightfoot, Bethel College mens basketball coach, served as guest speaker for the 2012 awards luncheon.
Last year, Lightfoot shared his definition of excellence.
“Excellence is a result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible,” he said.
“We all need to care more, risk more, dream more and expect more.”
