Dorothy Ann Heinlein
Nov. 14, 1938
KEENE, Texas — With profound sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Heinlein Wednesday, June 20, 2012. After a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Dorothy (fondly known as Dot) passed peacefully with her daughter Debbie and son Larry by her side.
Dorothy was born in Hopkinsville, Ky. Nov. 14, 1938 to Baker and Evelyn Gee. She graduated from Indiana Academy in 1957. She married Clarence Heinlein June 1, 1958 in South Bend, and later that year moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where Debbie, Larry and Brian were born. They moved to Ohio in 1964 where Cheryl was born and then in 1970 to Orlando, Fla.
Dorothy’s greatest joy was being a mother to her four children and working in the garden. After her children were older she went back to school and received her nursing degree in 1974 and her ultrasound certification in 1982. In 1998 Dorothy moved to Plymouth, to be next to her mother Evelyn Turnage. She enjoyed helping her mother in her garden and sitting in her backyard swing enjoying the company of her mother, sisters and brothers. In November, 2010 she moved to Keene, Texas to be next to her daughter Debbie.
Dorothy is survived by her children Debbie, Larry, Brian and Cheryl, her son-in-law Jerry and grandchildren Ashley and Calvin Howard, her daughter-in-law Michelle and granddaughter Alana Heinlein.
