RAYMOND, Ohio — Donald M. Jones, 80, of Raymond, Ohio formerly of Plymouth, died Thursday evening, Jan. 3, at Regency Hospital in Columbus following an extended illness. He was a retired professional truck driver with 30 years’ experience. He retired from Signal Delivery in Columbus.
He was a man who never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. An avid euchre player, it was a favorite past time for he and his family.
Don was a member of the Northwestern Lions Club and attended the Raymond United Methodist Church.
He was born Jan. 2, 1933 in Plymouth to the late Jesse H. and Lottie Moore Jones. He was also preceded in death by a brother Richard M. Jones.
Don is survived by his wife the former Pamela Ann Thomason who he married June 6, 1970 in Columbus; his son and daughter-in-law, Donald M. “D.J. and Bree Jones II; two grandchildren, Malachi Charles and Ella Reese Jones; and a host of friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, OH 43040 with a memorial service to be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Flinn officiating.
Following the memorial service, a time of food and fellowship for family and friends will be held at the Raymond United Methodist Church.
Friends may contribute to their charity of choice, in Don’s memory, in care of the funeral home.
