STURGIS, Mich. — Donald L. Fisher, 89, passed away Jan. 4, 2012 at his home in Sturgis, Mich. with his family by his side. Donald was born Dec. 25, 1922 in Plymouth to Floyd and Vera Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert.
Donald graduated from Plymouth High School in 1940. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the South Pacific for three years. He graduated from Ferris Institute in Big Rapids, Mich. in 1949 with a degree in pharmacy. He practiced pharmacy for more than 50 years. He was employed at the Model Pharmacy in Plymouth from 1949-1960.
He married Glenna Olson in Big Rapids, Mich. in 1947. He is survived by Glenna and their four children, Joseph (Joannie) Fisher, Richard (Lana) Fisher, Donald (Carolyn) Fisher and Debra Fisher.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Clare’s Catholic Church in Centreville, Mich. Burial will take place in the spring at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Mich.
