PLYMOUTH — Donald J. Bowser, age 85, of Plymouth, passed away at 9:49 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. 
Don was born June 23, 1927, in St. Joseph County, to Elmer and Letha (Bowen) Bowser. Don, and the former Donna Cripe, were married Aug. 28, 1948. Donna preceded Don in death Oct. 3, 2008. Don married the former Phyllis Hutton, in a ceremony at the Church of Christ in Plymouth, Oct. 13, 2009.
Don is retired after over 40 years of service to NIPSCO. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. 
Don is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Bowser of Plymouth; sons, Rex Bowser of Indianapolis; Roger (Becky) Bowser of Cassopolis, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Ann Bowser of Plymouth; daughter, Deborah (Rusty) White of Plymouth; sons, Dave Caldwell of Plymouth; Jeffery Caldwell of Fresno, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Jearlyn “Jerry” (Bill) Couts of Plymouth; Juda (Jack) Burke of Mentone; and brother-in-law, Mort Conley. Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Bowser; their son, Randy Bowser; his sister, Janeal Conley; his brother, Dean Bowser; and Phyllis’ son, James Caldwell.
