BREMEN — Floyd Samuel Bender, 74, 5117 Beech Road, Bremen, died Saturday, Sept. 3, at 5:08 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, where he had been a patient since Friday.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae; daughters, Sharon (Steve) Yoder, Nappanee, Sara Jean Bender, at home, Barbara (Devon) Miller, Nappanee, Laura Bender, at home, Susan (Atlee) Yutzy, Nappanee; sons, Mark (Nancy) Bender, Nappanee, Lavern (Rosanna) Bender, Bremen, and Merle (Vonda) Bender, Nappanee; 37 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Edward (Marth) Bender, New Paris; sisters, Dorothy Borkholder, Nappanee, Christina (Melvin) Mullet, Sugar Creek, Ohio, Marie (Mahlon) Hostetler, Nappanee, Barbara (Orla) Troyer, Carbondale, Ill., and Esther Bender, Nappanee.
Visitation was at the family residence after 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, and all day Monday. The funeral service was Tuesday, at 9:30 a.m. at Harley Miller’s residence (1486 E. 5th Road, Bremen). Burial will be at Cedar Road Amish Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.tlyfh.com.

NOBLESVILLE — Helen I. Vance, 95, residing in Noblesville, formerly of Bremen, died at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at the Harbor Manor, Noblesville.
She is survived by her husband, William P. “Bill” Vance; daughter, Sharon K. Vance of Glendale Heights, Ill.; sons, Warren P. (Cindy) Vance of Goshen, and Wayne P. (Debbie) Vance of Westfield; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at the Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N. Michigan St., Lakeville. Graveside services will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakeville United Methodist Church and also one hour prior to services Wednesday. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville is assisting with funeral arrangements.

ROCHESTER — Kimmy Michelle Corbin, 47, of 302 Westwood Lane, Rochester died at 8:49 a.m. Sept. 4, 2011 at the Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She is survived by sons, Jamie D. Corbin of Peru, Jeremy M. Corbin of Lafayette; daughter, Kristi Todd of Tennessee; mother, Sue Ann Blanchard, Rochester; sister, Tammy Boetsma; brother, Kiron Korbel all of Rochester; two stepbrothers, Chris Blanchard and Scott Blanchard, and numerous grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is at 4 p.m.

ATHENS — Dorothy A Brown Bixler, 80, of 99 Scott St., Athens died at 9:18 p.m. Friday at the Chase Center of Logansport.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Marie Miller, Rochester; brothers, Kenneth Brown, Rochester, John (Neva) Brown, Russell, Ky., and Max (Deloris) Brown of Lake Palestine.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Athens-Hoover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Northern Indiana Community Foundation.

ROCHESTER — Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Bailey, 66, of 1650 Sweetgum Road died Sept. 4 at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary; sons, David Allen (Stephanie) Bailey and Dan (Emily) Bailey; four grandchildren; and sisters, Joyce (Richard) Briggs of Macy, Reba (Larry) Cripe, Mary (Terry) Wynn.
Military honors will be accorded by the Leroy Shelton American Legion Post #36 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1343 at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Good Family Funeral Home 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation will immediately follow from 1 to 8 p.m. Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the 1st Baptist Church Camp Scholarship Fund or the Fulton County Cancer Fund through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation.

NAPPANEE — Teddy “Ted” J. Martindale, 65, of 252 N. Locke St., Nappanee, died Saturday night at his residence after a two-year illness.
Surviving are his wife, Diana; daughters, Amy Martindale, Myra (Robert) Meredith; son, Jerrad (Vera) Martindale, all of Nappanee; five grandchildren; brothers, William C. (Mabel) Martindale, Gladwin, Mich., and Larry J. (Patricia) Martindale, Syracuse.
Visitation is Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service, at the First Brethren Church in Nappanee. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; daughters, Gloria Ann (Jack) Hamman, Leesburg, Sue (Duane) Moneyheffer, Nappanee; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Max) Truex, Wakarusa; brothers, Kenneth (Pat) Middaugh and Clarence Middaugh, both of Nappanee.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 12 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Myers, Fla., and Ronald (Mary) Shores of LaPorte; 16 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and one sister, June (Robert) Holt of New Haven.
