TUCSON, Ariz. — John Erwin Kizer, 75, died after a lengthy battle with cancer, at the Emeritus Assisted Living Facility under the care of Heartland Hospice.
He is survived by one daughter, Karin Lynn (Dan Cantu) Kizer of Alexandria, Va.; one son, Kevin John Kizer of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandchild; two sisters, Carolyn Kizer McClure of Plymouth, and Elizabeth (Bob) Luther of Knoxville.
Funeral services will be held in Tucson, Ariz. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. Burial will take place in Plymouth’s Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or friends of Sabino Canyon, (www.sabinocanyon.org).

WALKERTON (Fish Lake) — Lawrence “Larry” Malstaff, 70, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his four daughters, Tamie (Dan) Pudlo, Tonya Cook, Teresa Mago all of North Liberty and Tracie (Brandon) Patrick of Walkerton; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Gerald (Janet) Malstaff and Gail (June) Malstaff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. CDT Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Walkerton (Fish Lake). Visitation is one hour prior to the service in the Parish Hall. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Walkerton. A memorial contribution may be made to The Center of Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements. ARGOS — Ellen Rose, 70, of Argos died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012.
She is survived by her children, John (Janice) Rose Jr. of Culver, Peggy (Steve) Smith of Knox, Fred (Lisa) Rose of Indiantown, Fla., Harold (Barb) Rose of Big Sandy, Tenn., Theresa Rose of Argos; siblings, Thelma Smith of North Judson, Treva McCullough of LaPorte, Eva Howard of Denham, Sarah Bailey of Merrillville, Lonnie Allen of Syracuse, Evelyn Trusty of North Judson, Otis Trusty of Kentucky, Arthur Trusty of Kentucky, Blaine Trusty of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 1 at 12 p.m. CDT with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Burial will take place at St. Jacob Cemetery, North Judson.
