James Ronald Cook
NORTH VERNON — James “Jim” Ronald Cook, 68, a former Plymouth resident, living in North Vernon for the past 20 years, died of natural causes in the Columbus Regional Medical Center at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011.
He is survived by a brother, Gail L. (Patty) Cook, North Vernon, and a sister, Carol Jean (Doug) Barnlund, La Marque, Texas.
Visitation is Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m.
Special military graveside rites will be given by members of the American Legion Post 27, VFW Post 1162 and DAV at the Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts may be given to the James R. Cook, PHS Class of 1961 Scholarship Fund to be established at the Marshall County Community Foundation, 2701 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN 46563.

SOUTH BEND — A memorial service for Helen Freeman will be held Sunday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m. at Pine Creek Church, corner of Pine and Stanton Roads, North Liberty. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service at the church.
She died Aug. 2, 2011 in the Southfield Village, South Bend.
She is survived by children, Shirley Braner and Mary Ann Haysley; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Her body was donated to Indiana University Medical School. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pine Creek Church or to Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, 46637.

ROCHESTER — Alexis Hamilton-Miller, 19, of 1600 College Ave., Rochester, died at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 in Cass County as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
She is survived by her parents, Dean and Missey Johnson of Rochester and Rick and Sandra Miller of Indianapolis; sisters, Andrea Hamilton-Miller of Rochester, Arin Johnson of Rochester; brothers, Macoy Miller of Indianapolis, Brad Johnson of Rochester, Scout Stephen of Rochester; and grandparents, Rod and Rene Hamilton of Rochester, and Rick Sr. and Linda Miller of Rochester.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

ROCHESTER — Louise Nicodemus, 97, formerly of Akron, died at 6:40 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Life Care Center of Rochester.
She is survived by sisters, Lucile Lewis of Rochester and Grace Edgar of Atlanta, Mich.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 in the Good Family Funeral Home,1200 W. 18th St. Rochester. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Athens Hoover Cemetery.
