ARGOS — Leola June Martin, 89, of 310 E. Plum St., Argos died July 20, 2011 at 8 p.m. in her residence following an illness.
She is survived by her son, Mark Birney of Argos.
There will be no calling or services per June’s wishes.

Lyle Kent Vandermark

ROCHESTER — Lyle Kent Vandermark, 74, of 1358 N. 700 E., Rochester, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; a daughter, Michele (Richard) Smith of Rochester; two sons, Randy (Rosella) Vandermark of Milton, Pa., Roy (Lori) Vandermark of Rochester; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jo (Jay) Wilson of Rochester.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28 at The Church of Christ, 120 E. 5th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester and one hour prior to the service in the church.
Burial will be in the Athens Hoover Cemetery, Athens, where military rites will be conducted by the LeRoy Shelton American Legion #36 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars #1343 of Rochester. Helen Miller Tobias

NAPPANEE — Helen Miller Tobias, 62, of 854 S. Jackson St.,  Nappanee, died at 5:18 p.m., Sunday at her residence after a four-year battle with bone cancer. 
Surviving are her son, Brian (A.J.) Hartman and five grandchildren all of Nappanee; brothers, Richard, Steven, Bob, Harry, and Mike Miller; and sisters, Lilly Zika, and Diane Groundwater, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 28 at Thompson-Lengacher &  Yoder Funeral  Home, Nappanee, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 29. Cremation will follow services and inurnment will be in Cedar Rapids at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Christian Development Center in Nappanee. John C. Mann

KNOX — John C. Mann, 81, of Knox died Sunday, July 24, 2011.
He is survived by a daughter, Gail Sample of Hanna; three stepsons, Phil Owens of Knox, Tim Owens of Culver, Bobby Owens of Grovertown; three sisters, Martha Allen, Mary Cole, Vera Cole; two brothers, Bill Mann and Cecil Mann; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 28 at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation Thursday at 1 p.m. at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
