LOGANSPORT — Vera L. Chanley, 73, Logansport, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Chanley; sons: Jerry (Judy) Wilson of Monterey, Tenn., Rick (Dianne) Wilson of Lacona, N.Y., and Randy (Diana) Smith of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; daughters, Cynthia (Larry) Platz of Osceola, and April (Daryl) Ewald of Goshen; stepson, Joe (Nancy) Chanley of Logansport; stepdaughters, Patty (Ron) Raderstorf and Lisa Novak, all of Logansport; brothers, Floyd (Della) Eiler, MS, Earl Eiler of Kokomo, and Harley (Lowene) Eiler of Elwood; sister, Elnora (John) Shidler of Goshen; eight grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Kroeger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Hickory Grove Church. Burial will take place at Davis Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Grove Church or Guardian Angel Hospice.

KNOX — Loretta L. Earnest, 87, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 in her home after a sudden illness. 
She is survived by sons, Robert “Joe” (Carolyn) Earnest of Pearland, Texas and Richard (Dianna) Earnest of Knox; daughter, Nancy (Ken) Osburn of Knox; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, William (Gloria) Dickson of Knox. 
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel and Thursday at the church after 10 a.m. 
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28 at Bible Baptist Church, Knox. Burial will be in the Round Lake Cemetery, Knox.

PLYMOUTH — Raymond T. “Pops” Pierson, 85, formerly of 805 Baker St., Plymouth, died Monday, April 25, at 3:40 p.m. at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church. VFW/American Legion military rites will be afforded to him. A complete obituary will appear in Wednesday’s Pilot News.
