How could anyone have their child's partner pay for a funeral, deny that partner the chance to attend, and then solicit donations through the funeral home?

What about Shane?
What about his partner Shane?
What about the man he loved. Shane?
He exists. He is a part of this man's history. He needs to be acknowledged.
In the larger world, we acknowledge their love and their commitment. Shame on his family for erasing what they are too ignorant and afraid to understand.

Portland Oregon. We acknowledge you. We mourn our loss. We stand by your partner, Shane.

What bitter little hearts the bridegrooms must have to airbrush out the one person in Toms life who loved him absolutely and unconditionally whilst they told him he was diseased and needed treatment. The only solace in this whole situation is that Tom and Shane got to share a mutual love that evil judgemental unchristian people like the Bridegrooms are clearly not capable of. You judged and did not love your son unconditionally and you will no doubt be judged for it both here and in whatever afterlife you may or may not have, hopefully you can at some point recognise the purity of their love for one another, the vile hatred that consumed you and you can bring yourselves to accept you were wrong and ask forgiveness.
