NAPPANEE — James L. Slabaugh, 63, of 402 Northwood Circle, Nappanee, died at 1:02 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Lakeland Loving Care Center, Milford after an extended illness.
Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Jo (Terry Witcher) Francis, Bristol; his mother, June L. Slabaugh, Nappanee; four grandchildren; and brothers, Russell Dean (Peggy) Slabaugh, Lake Zurich, Ill., Steve Slabaugh, Nappanee, and Michael (Shirley) Slabaugh, Hindman, Ky.
Visitation is from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or IU Health, Goshen Care at Home Hospice.

Vern B. McKee

CULVER — Vern B. McKee, 79, of Culver died Feb. 7, 2012 at Life Care Center, Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam McKee of Culver; daughters, Cindy Riester of Plymouth, Denise (David) Bohm of Mountain View, Mo., Jana McKee of Plymouth; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Odom Funeral Home, Culver, with service to follow at 7 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Marshall County Humane Society.
