ARGOS — Mary Elizabeth Heckaman, 87, of 18770 Maple Road, Argos, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 in Sebring, Fla.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Ed) DeMont of Plymouth, Rosemary (Ron) Cullers of Mexico; a son, Mike (Jan) Heckaman of Argos; a brother, Allen Neff of Sebring, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery.

BREMEN — Tom A. Farrer, 90, of Bremen, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at the Bremen Health Care Center.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Bremen; one daughter Sally Smith of Bremen; one son Jack (Peggy) Farrer of Bremen; one stepson Charles “Chuck” Berkey of Bremen; one stepdaughter Tammy (Fred) Fuchs of Bremen; five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandsons; three brothers Dean (Lois) Farrer of Bremen, Pat Farrer of Bremen, Don (Joyce) Farrer of Elkhart; and one sister-in-law Jeanette Farrer of Martinsville.
Services will be held Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Private family burial will be held at Olive Cemetery in Wakarusa.
Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or Hospice of Marshall County.
The Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eileen D. Boardman

ROCHESTER — Eileen D. Boardman, 88, formerly of Rochester, died at Plainfield Health Care Center, Plainfield, Dec. 7, 2011. 
She is survived by four daughters, Diane Kay Boardman of Lebanon, Janet  Sue (Donald) Gouldsmith of Clayton, Carol Jean (James) Mann of Martinsville, Karen Ann Marosz of Holland, Mich.; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Clouse of Rensselaer.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday.   
Burial will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Catherine Ropp, Elson (Arlene) Ropp, both of Kalona, Iowa, Margaret (Martin) Yoder, Nappanee, Delores (Jacob) Schwartz, Bremen, Sanford Ropp, Goshen, Rebecca Ropp, Nappanee, Ira (Jo Ann) Ropp, Milford, Inez Ropp, Nappanee; nine stepchildren, Anna (Mervin) Mast, Bremen, Rosella U (Henry) Wagler, DeGroff, Ohio, Jacob U (Delores) Schwartz, Bremen, Susan Mae (Eli) Schwartz, Hamilton, Katie Irene (Merlin) Hochstetler, Nappanee, Mary U (Wilmer) Schwartz, Hamilton, Joseph U (Florence) Schwartz, Bronson, Mich., Rudy U (Polly) Schwartz, Chouteau, Okla., Edna U (Perry) Borntrager, Etna Green; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 52 stepgrandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin, Wilbur, and Norman Ropp, all of Kalona, Iowa; two sisters, Mary and Lydia Ropp, both of Kalona, Iowa.
Visitation is all day Saturday at the Jacob Schwartz Residence (1161 3rd Road, Bremen). The funeral service will be Sunday, at 9:30 a.m., at the Dennis Hochstetler Residence (2735 Birch Road). Burial will be at Burkholder Cemetery.
