NAPPANEE — Susie “Carolyn” Borkholder, 70, Nappanee, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband Noah; son Jacob (Bertha) Borkholder of Nappanee; son-in-law, Devon (Martha) Schmucker of Lovington, Ill.; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers: Glen A. (Mary) Miller of Nappanee, Harley A. (Barbara) Miller of Etna Green; Jake Miller of Arizona; Amos Miller Jr. of Nappanee; and sisters: Ada Mae (Herman) Miller of Bourbon, Katie (Alvin) Miller of Bourbon, and Mary (Kenneth) Miller of Bourbon.
Visitation will take place after 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 and all day Sunday at Jacob Borkholder’s residence.
Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Jacob Borkholder residence.
Burial will follow at Graber Cemetery.
Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Nelda Mae Humphrey

LAPORTE — Nelda M. Humphrey, 66, of LaPorte, died Thursday Oct. 28, 2010 at LaPorte Hospital.
She is survived by her sons: Robert Humphrey II of LaPorte, Sherman (Shaelane) Humphrey of Plymouth, Charles (Tammy) Humphrey of Walkerton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Pentland of Stillwater, Minn. and Julia Longebrake of Middlebury; brothers, Charles R. Brown of Elkhart and Andrew Brown, Jr. of LaPorte; and mother-in-law, Betty M. Humphrey of LaPorte.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31 at Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, and one hour prior to services Monday at Calvery Baptist Church.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1 at the church.
Burial will follow at the Patton Cemetery.
