HAMLET — Marie B. Stickley Beron Hardesty, 90, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in her home. 
She is survived by her husband, Lyman “Max” Hardesty; daughters, Beverly Beron Ault of Plymouth and Karen Hardesty Slone of Hamlet; sons: James Beron of Knox, Max Allen Hardesty of Knox and John Hardesty of Hamlet; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Mapes of Bristol; and a brother, James (Kay) Seiders of Walkerton. 
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (Central Time) Sunday, Oct. 10 and one hour prior to services Monday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct.. 11 at the funeral chapel.
Burial will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet. 
Memorial contributions may be given to the Grovertown or Hamlet United Methodist Churches or VNA Hospice.

Violet B. Miller Darkwood

NAPPANEE — Violet B. Miller Darkwood, 98, of Nappanee, died at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at her residence.
She is survived by a son, James A. (Helen) Miller of Nappanee; a daughter, Carol Leman of Michigan City; two stepdaughters, Waneta Benson of Pennsylvania and Thelma Snyder of Kansas; a sister, Evelyn (Harmon) Mitchel of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Miller of Nappanee and Freida Bowers of Wakarusa; and six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11 at Union Center Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Jim Davis of Union Center Church of the Brethren.
Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Hospice or the Union Center Church of the Brethren.

Madeline Ann O’Rourke
Oct. 6, 2010
KOKOMO — Madeline Ann O’Rourke, 89, Kokomo, formerly of Argos, died at 6:37 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at St. Vincent Health/St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, following a four-month illness.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Peter W. (Kathy) O’Rourke of Kokomo; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell, Mass.
Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, is assisting the family with local arrangements.
