BOURBON — Dale E. Bules, 90, a resident of rural Bourbon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at 1:50 p.m. in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home of Plymouth with family by his side.
Dale was born the son of Marvin Bules and Carrie Flory Bules at Etna Green on March 31, 1922. He was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area and a graduate of Tippecanoe High School class of 1940. He was a lifelong farmer and a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren until its closing and transferred his membership to Plymouth Church of the Brethren.
He joined in marriage to Velma P. Bules on Jan. 30, 1944. She preceded in death Oct. 26, 2010 of which they shared more than 65 years together. Their marriage created a wonderful family whom he leaves behind that includes their five children; Rachel and husband Richard Weik of Middletown, Pa., Karen Bules (Allen) of Oak Park, Ill., Diane and husband Max Zolman of Knoxville, Tenn., Stan and wife Carol Bules of Bourbon and Mark and wife Cindy Bules of Rolling Prairie. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and his sister Arlene Sullivan of Bloomington.  
Preceding in death were his sister, Lucille Cave and brother, Harold Bules.
You are invited Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 to share memories with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. The family will also receive friends for one hour before the services at the church.
A celebration of Dale’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 in the Plymouth Church of the Brethren, 1130 N. Michigan St., Plymouth with Pastor Ruth Yoder officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Bourbon.
The family requests memorial contributions are made to: Heifer International in his memory.
