Culver town-wide yard sales, related events this wkd

The Town of Culver's annual fall town-wide yard sale will take place this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Maps will be available beginning Thursday, September 27 at Town Hall, Culver Express and Osborn’s Mini-Mart.

Among simultaneous events scheduled is the Friends of the Culver-Union Township Public Li­brary's book sale Friday and Saturday, in the lower level of the library. The sale is from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Book donations are always welcome at the circulation desk in the library.

The Maxinkuckee Odd Fellows Lodge #373 will host a pancakes and sausage, biscuits and gravy all you can eat breakfast Saturday from 6 a.m. to noon. The event will take place at the corner of 18B and Pine Roads. Adults are $6 and children $4. The Rebekah Country Store will also be available.

For those unable to host a sale, but interested in doing so on Friday and Saturday, the Culver Park and Recreation Department will be renting spaces in the parking lot for the sale. Appli­cations may be obtained at the Culver Town Hall or by contacting Kelly Young at 574-842-3510.

To have your yard sale location included on a map distributed to the public, please contact Town Hall via e-mail at clerk@townofculver.org or at 842- 3140 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. no later than Tuesday, September 25. Please provide your address and the date(s) of your sale. There is no cost for the event.
