Culver Garden Court will break ground with ceremony Friday

CULVER — A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at 701 S. Main St., Culver. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded a grant in the amount of $1,445,600 to develop a 13-unit residence for the elderly under the Section 202 Supportive Housing Program. The new development will be known as Culver Garden Court and will be the twelfth Garden Court Community.
Speakers scheduled for the groundbreaking event include Rev. Ronald Leichty, president of Garnde Court Inc., and possibly Congressman Joe Donnelly. Current Garden Court Inc. board members will also be present.
