Crash in St. Joseph County claims life of Bremen man

October 16, 2013

St. Joseph County – Around 6:15 p.m. this evening the Indiana State Police and rescue personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on SR 331 south of Wyatt in southern St. Joseph County.

Police and first responders arrived on scene to find a semi-tractor trailer had collided head-on with a tree. Purportedly the driver of the semi, Andrew Ginther, 30, Bremen was south bound on SR 331 when, for reasons unknown, he drove his truck off the west side of the road into a tree. Ginther died at the scene.

The state police are continuing their investigation into this single vehicle crash. At this time they have not determined a cause for the crash. Investigators do not believe that weather was a factor in the accident.
