Cox presented with NLC Lifetime Award

PLYMOUTH — The Northern Lakes Conference recently presented former Plymouth head girls basketball coach Dave Cox with the NLC Lifetime Outstanding Service Award and Lifetime Gold Pass to all NLC events.
Prior to his hire as head girls’ coach at Plymouth, Cox spent a combined six years in the Triton, Caston and Plymouth feeder systems. He initiated a Plymouth indoor/outdoor summer league basketball program in 1993 that grew to include over 85 teams and 874 participants across Northern Indiana. 
Coach Cox is the winningest coach in PHS girls basketball history with a combined varsity record of 308-152 over 20 years, highlighted by the 2008 Class 3A state championship, nine 3A sectional championships, two regional and semistate championships and four NLC titles. He was named the ICGSA 3A State Coach of the Year in 2008 and was the 15th winningest active coach in Indiana at the time of his retirement.
