BOURBON — Corriene May Mechling, 82, of Bourbon died May 28, 2013 at 8:50 a.m. at her daughter’s residence. She had been in declining health for several months.
She was born Nov. 17, 1930 in Argos to Frank and Ocie (Ellis) Hardesty. She had lived all of her life in Marshall County.
In 1948 she married Norman Ault; in 1955 she married Thomas T. Ludwig; and in 1973 she married Darold R. Mechling, all three preceded her.
She was a homemaker and worked for several local restaurants as a cook and waitress.
She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Bourbon.
She is survived by daughters – Roberta M Tarlton of Bourbon; Cora A. Jones and husband Charles of Warsaw; and Robbin R. Crieghbaum and husband Dennis of Bourbon; sons – Thomas T. Ludwig Jr. of Columbus; David R. Mechling and wife LaVona of LaFontaine; and Patrick L. Mechling of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister – Ilene Height of Chapman Lake; and halfbrother – Keith Hardesty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; two sons – Daniel Ault and John H. Ault; two granddaughters – Christina Ault and Shawn Haynes; two grandsons – Lance and Kenny Haynes; sister – Madeliene Senff; brother – Frank Hardesty; halfsisters – Audrey Stephenson, Kathy Hylton, Karen Hileman, Evelyn Byers, and Zepha Swander; and halfbrother – Daniel Hardesty.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church, 201 Bourbon St., Bourbon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at the church. Rev. Mark Cottrill of the United Pentecostal Church, Bourbon will officiate.
Burial will be at Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver.
