Continued revitalization of downtown discussed

PLYMOUTH — The Downtown Revitalization council discussed ways to continue to improve the downtown area of Plymouth.

Coming off the successful ribbon cutting ceremony at River Park Square last month, suggestions include expanding the Greenway Trail through the park, acquiring additional houses or businesses to turn into greenspace and pitching empty lots to developers for possible housing.

While no decision on any of these was made, there are plans to acquire additional structures located in flood plain areas in 2016.
