• The Marshall County Retired Teachers Association is meeting at Trinity United Methodist Church on South Michigan Street, Plymouth. The social time begins at 11 a.m. and the lunch will be served promptly at 11:30. The lunch costs $8.50. All Marshall County retired educators are urged to join MCRTA and attend our meetings. Please extend this invitation to any retired teachers you know, especially those that recently retired from teaching. Hopefully you have received a phone call inviting you to this meeting and to make your reservations. If not, please email the MCRTA President, Herb Eveland at hleveland@embarqmail.com or call him at 780-4111 to say you are coming. An exact number of reservations is needed to give to the church ladies who prepare the meals. After the meal there will be a very short business meeting. It will be followed with a presentation by George Schricker, who will tell us about Wild Rose Moon. Each MCRTA member is asked to bring to the meeting a food item or cash to donate to the Community Pantry. Members are also reminded to be keeping track of their volunteer hours. At this November meeting we must turn them in to Diane Eveland who will submit them to the Indiana Retired Teachers Association to be included with the volunteer hours of all retired Indiana teachers. The IRTA uses these hours when lobbying the General Assembly for improved benefits for us.
