CMA tops Plymouth 3-2 at Clay

October 6, 2010

SOUTH BEND — Once again, Plymouth faced Culver Military at the South Bend Clay Regional.
Once again, the Pilgrims fell.
Plymouth's boys tennis squad lost a 3-2 decision Tuesday at Leeper Park, while Penn trumped South Bend St. Joseph's 3-2 to set up the championship match between the Eagles and the Kingsmen today.
"I told the kids I'm not great at losing, but we should stand with our heads high because there wasn't anybody who fell under the pressure," said Pilgrims head coach Michael Delp. "It was a battle, and we fought hard.
"Our top seven, they don't have the flawless strokes those CMA guys have, but it's about heart and that's what I love about our program. Those guys show a lot of heart, and one time we'll crack it. There'll be a time we'll break through."
