CMA, LaVille wrestlers go head to head

December 10, 2010

LAKEVILLE — Both LaVille and Culver Military’s wrestling teams are young, but the Eagles are extremely talented.
CMA topped LaVille in 10 weight classes, including seven pinfall victories, for a dominant 52-22 win over the host Lancers in a dual wrestling meet Thursday at LaVille.
The visitors jumped off to an early lead with two pinfall wins and a major decision before the Lancers could get on the board.
“We’ve got a group of middle weights that are real strong,” said CMA head coach Matt Behling. “It’s a real strong part of our team. Starting off at 140 that’s a good place for us to begin. They started off strong and got the momentum going for the rest of the team, and I was just proud of the way they finished. LaVille came out and they wrestled tough tonight. I give them a lot of credit.”
