Classics hit Culver

An overview

The Corps of Cadets of Culver Military Academy staged a retreat parade Tuesday evening as part of the red carpet rolled out for more than 100 drivers, owners, and guests associated with the nearly 50 classic Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg cars on campus and in the Culver area as part of the Hoosier Tour. During their two days in Culver, guests were also treated to campus tours, programs on Culver’s history by historian Bob Hartman and Jeff Kenney of the Antiquarian and Historical Society, a historic tour of Lake Maxinkuckee, a performance by Culver Academies’ Black Horse Troop, and a visit to the 1880s Marmon-Greenleaf cottage, an important local landmark in Indiana automobile history.
