City opens bids for lift station project

PLYMOUTH - The city of Plymouth will make improvements on the sewage lift station on Pioneer Drive and the Board of Public Works and Safety got an idea of what that is going to cost Monday.

The Board opened bids to do the work on the lift station from four different contractors at their regular meeting.

Bids ranged from a high of $186,400 from HRP on the work, with an alternative to the base bid of $12,500. to the low bidder, Haskins Underground, whose bid was $120,125 with an alternate of $1,000.

Utilities Superintendent Donnie Davidson will take the bids under advisement to review and give a recommendation to the Board at their July 22 meeting.
