Christmas Around the Tree this weekend

The hometown Christmas Tradition continues in downtown Wakarusa’s where the 20-foot pine, donated by Utilimaster Corporation, stands adorned in the Town Square. Clerk-Treasurer Joyce Hartman stated, “This year’s tree is perfect, just perfect” making it a perfect time to start a family tradition and attend the annual Christmas Around the Tree celebration, Monday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Visitors can enjoy the sounds of the season performed by WaNee’s own Younger Generation, Dawning Generation and Vocal Jazz sponsored by Bellman BP. Free hot cocoa and homemade Christmas cookies will be served in the Wakarusa Dime Store and made possible by these sponsors:  Dr. and Mrs. Abel, Dr. Weldy’s Associates, GVC Mortgage, Hartman Electric, Interra Credit Union, J&N Stone, Jack Hess Insurance, Larimer Furniture, New To You Resale, Provident Tool, Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, Shortstop Inn, Wakarusa Pro Hardware, Waky U-Store and WaNee Walk-In Clinic.
