LEBANON — Charles N. Prince, 81, of Lebanon died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at 11:55 a.m. at Essex Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon of natural causes.
Charles N. Prince was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Feb. 13, 1930. He was the son of the late Orville and Eugenia Prince.
Mr. Prince was married to Eldora Jean (Breeding) Prince in Plymouth, June 21, 1953. Mrs. Prince survives. 
Charles was reared and educated in Michigan where he graduated from high school. Later, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Charles’ career spanned nearly 50 years in the propane business. He last served as the manager of the Ameri-Gas in Bloomington until his retirement in 1992. Mr. and Mrs. Prince moved to Lebanon recently after being residents of Bloomington for 34 years.
As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather he was happiest spending time with his family. In Bloomington, he was a member of the Bloomington Gun Club and he also enjoyed archery.
He was a member of the VFW in Bloomington, and St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4201 W. 3rd St., in Bloomington.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Prince of Lebanon; two children, Desiree A. Roth and husband, Frederick J. of Lebanon, Patricia S. Bixler and husband Terry of Ellettsville; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jason McConnell; and a great-granddaughter, Katie S. McConnell.
