Changing oil for kids
PLYMOUTH — Car a little dusty from the heat?
Your 3,000 mile oil change was due 4,000 miles ago? Oliver Ford in Plymouth is there to help you while they help others.
Oliver is currently offering free oil changes and car washes at the dealership on Jefferson Street in Plymouth until Aug. 1 — unless you own a diesel vehicle. The only request in return is for you to help area kids get ready to go back to school.
Teaming with Plymouth FOP Lodge #195 and the Indiana State Police, Oliver Ford will give that car wash and oil change for your donation to the “Pack-A-Backpack” program.
Bring in two back packs or 10 items to fill those backpacks and participants can have a free oil change or a certificate for a free oil change (before Oct. 15).
There is no limit to the number of times that can be donated for certificates and Oliver will service any make or model of vehicle.
There will be a box to collect supplies and backpacks in the service department. For more information, call Oliver Ford at 574-935-1001.
The Pack-A-Backpack program has been supplying area kids who would not be able to afford them with school supplies for many years. The program identifies kids in need and makes sure that they have the supplies they need to learn.
The free car wash and oil change program will end Aug. 1.
