Chambers seeking a second term

KNOX — Mayor Rick Chambers announced Tuesday, Jan. 18 that he will seek re-election to another four-year term
One day before official filings, Chambers issued his announcement.
Chambers is a lifelong resident of the Knox area, as is his wife Marlene. They have a daughter, Nikkole, a son Nathan and three grandchildren.
Chambers is a graduate of Knox High School. After graduating, Chambers enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served four years. He returned home in 1977 and was hired by Knox Police Department the same year, retiring after 28 years of service. Chambers served as Chief of Police for the last 18 years of his career. He was first appointed as chief by former mayor William Dickson, and was reappointed to his position each year after by three other mayors.
