Celebrate the 4th of July at Stauffer Park in Nappanee

June 29, 2013

8 a.m. – Big Cup Golf Tournament; at McCormick Creek Golf Course
8 a.m. – Junior Olympics. Sponsored by the Nappanee Rotary Club
9 a.m. – Youth Triathlon for ages 9-13; must be pre-registered; get information at city pool
10 a.m. - 8 p.m. – Face Painting and Bake Sale; NWHS Cheerleaders
11 a.m. – Parade (City Hall to Stauffer Park). Line up on West Lincoln Street at 10 a.m.
12 p.m.-4 p.m. – Free Swim at the City Pool
1 p.m. – Waterball Contest. Sponsored by the Nappanee Fire Department
2 p.m. – Tailgate Toss Tournament. Sponsored by the American Legion. Pre-register at the Legion or day of 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
3 p.m. – "Nappanee's Got Talent" Sponsored by Downie Auto Sales. All ages; talents of all kinds; register at stage 11:45 a.m.-2:45 p.m.
5:45 p.m. – Digital Scavenger Hunt; teams need a camera and up to five people; call Rocki Stillson at 574-253-2869; www.facebook.com/TheNappTownHuntDown
6 p.m.-dark – Entertainment on the Stage
10 p.m. or dark – Fireworks
Food vendors will be available all day.
Horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court and skate park available for use. Bring your own equipment.
(men's softball tournament at the Callender Sportsplex beginning on July 3 and continuing on July 4)
