PLYMOUTH — Family members will receive friends of C. R. “Dick” and Margaret Hayden, this Sunday, Oct. 23 from noon until 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with a Masonic Memorial Rite provided by members of the Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge No. 149 as a tribute to Dick. Joint services will immediately follow under the direction of family friend Rev. James Campbell.
A burial service will conclude at the New Oakhill Cemetery with military honors provided by members of the Plymouth American Legion Post 27, Veterans of Foreign Wars — Marshall Co. Post 1162 and D.A.V.
Plymouth residents since 1967, Dick died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, Margaret passed away one month later Sept. 19 both following a brief battle with cancer.
Known as both C.R. and Dick, he was born in Lowell Dec. 29, 1926, the son of Fred V. and Marian J. (Nelson) Hayden.
Margaret Sirois was born Aug. 2, 1926, the third child of Earl “Frenchy” and Fern Sirois in Shelby.
Dick and Margaret G. Sirois were married at her home in Shelby June 6, 1948.
Both were avid sports fans with unwavering support for their sons while growing up with one or both at every one of their athletic events.
They are survived by three sons and families: Richard Kimbel (Connie) of Greensburg, Timothy Michael (Nancy) of Plymouth, and Marc V. (Diane) of Plymouth. Including seven grandchildren: Kim’s sons are Patrick and Brandon with great-grandsons Austin, Arison and Andon and great-granddaughter Alexandria belonging to Patrick. Michael’s children are Kara and Kyle, and great-granddaughters Emma and Kate belonging to Kyle and great-grandson Evan belonging to Kara. Marc’s three children are Danielle, Zachary, and Vincent.
