PLYMOUTH — Cecil Dean Martin, 81, of 4B Road, Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at 10:45 a.m., in his home surrounded by his family.
Cecil was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Plymouth, to Frank and Freda (Zartman) Martin. Cecil was in the United States Navy and proudly served his country, for almost 20 years, from 1951-1970. He retired as Boatswain Mate Chief. He traveled many miles, delivering trailers, for Morgan Drive Away for 16 years. He retired in 1986. Cecil was a member of Tyner IOOF Lodge #821, Gold Prospectors Association of America since 1993, and a proud member of the American Legion Post #189 since 1971.
Cecil is survived by his brother, Glenn (Bonnie) Martin of Plymouth; his sisters, Ann (Ed) O’Blenis of Sebring, Fla. and Marcella Fender of Missouri. Cecil was preceded in death by his brothers; Homer, John, Harold, Edwin, Richard, and Keith; and his sisters, Helen and Mary.
