VALPARAISO — Cathy Ann Roseberry, 62, of Valparaiso,
passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at the VNA
Hospice Center. She was born May 23, 1949, in Plymouth,
to Henry E. and Mildred E. (Heidel) Sahlhoff and graduated
from Plymouth High School in 1967. Cathy had been a purchasing
agent with Rexam Beverage Can Company for 37
years through many transitions. She was a member of St.
John’s Lutheran Church in Wanatah where she served as
organist for more than four decades. Through all the years
her family and her music continued to be the focus of her
passion.
Survivors include her children: Wendy (Elliott) Correll of
Nappanee, Nicole (Sean) Siewin of Valparaiso, Matthew
Roseberry (Julie McKean) of Valparaiso, Rachel (Zachary)
Sliwa of Valparaiso; brother: Carl (Kathleen) Sahlhoff
of Eau Claire, Wis.; sisters: Carol (Timothy) Earle of
LaCrosse, Cindy (Charles Jr. “Bub”) Patrick of San Pierre;
grandchildren: Morgan May and Bo Henry Correll and
Lucas and Isaac Siewin.
A funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. CST at St.
John’s Lutheran Church, 15496 S. 900 W., Wanatah, Rev.
Joel S. Zipay officiating with burial to follow at St. John’s
Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. at
Wanatah Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main St. In lieu of flowers
memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or
the VNA Hospice of Porter County.
