BREMEN — Carol A. Higgins, 58 years old, joined her Heavenly Father at 10:41 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at her home. Carol was born April 10, 1955 in Warsaw and has lived in Bremen for many years. Carol worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Bremen High School and Indiana Wesleyan University. Carol loved gardening, reading, animals, and spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Ivy (Corey) Arndt of Bremen; son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Higgins of Huntington; five grandchildren, Kaley, Jack, Ashley, Marideth, and Brylee; parents, Delores Ginther of Bremen and Herman (Rose) Ginther of Cromwell; four sisters, Karen (Joel) Howard of Edwardsburg, Mich., Janice (Rob) Nichols of Bremen, Donna (Brian) Badet of Tucson, Ariz. and Betty (Mike) Weldy of Bremen; one brother, Herman (Lorraine) Ginther of Bremen; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Annie and Chick Chick the chicken.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville. Rev. Tom Dean, pastor of First United Church of Christ in Bremen, will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Bremen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carol A. Higgins may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN 46536. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
