Carnival opens, gives kids an extra day

The Blueberry Festival carnival area opened Thursday night, allowing kids of all ages to get a head start on spins and thrills for the weekend, before the official opening of the entire festival today.
Kameron VanLue takes a turn on the bumper cars — a hugely popular addition to this year’s carnival rides. Children were lining up time after time to jump in the cars and go for a bumpy drive.
