Car show draws many

June 11, 2012

PLYMOUTH — The third annual P-Town Cruz’n car show was a huge success Saturday, as 143 total cars were entered into the non-competitive event. And if the amount of pizza consumed is an indication of attendance, it was a successful draw as well.
Many attendees walked away with door prizes, including two 32-inch TVs. Car owners were automatically entered into a drawing to win one of the TVs, and spectators entered to win by visiting area businesses. The more businesses they visited, the more chances they had of winning.
Spectators and car owners alike also supported local non-profits by purchasing pizza slices from different booths. Five area pizza places competed to win the title of “Best Pizza in Downtown Plymouth.”
Pizza from Granny’s, Bruno’s, Papa Johns, Mancinos, and Pizza Hut was sold. Bruno’s took home the “Best Pizza” title by selling a total of 233 slices throughout the day. Between all of the participating pizza places, 732 slices were purchased and consumed.
Amy Budka, of Plymouth, was the car owner winner of the TV, while the spectator winner was Justin Woodward, also of Plymouth.
