After the demolition of the old Bourbon pharmacy in February 2008, the attached building became somewhat of an “eyesore” left on the corner of Main and Center streets. John Forsythe and Sharon Bemish, the current owners of the building located at 105 S. Main St., downtown Bourbon have been working diligently on sprucing up the on the appearance of this building.
The owners were down to the final exterior task, painting the brick on the front of the building, but were in need of a lift to reach this.
Neighboring property owner, Les McFarland, contacted Morris Roofing (Bourbon), about borrowing a forklift that they had at their business. Morris Roofing obliged, and with the help of their forklift, the painting of the building was completed Thursday, Aug. 27.
