Bremen police capture alleged kidnapper

BREMEN — According to the press release issued by Bremen Chief of Police Matt Hassel, at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Officer Nick Young, of the Bremen Police Department, was on regular patrol in the area of SR 311 and SR 106 in Bremen when he observed a vehicle traveling southbound on SR 331. Young also observed a female passenger hanging out the driver’s side rear window of the vehicle screaming for someone to please help her. It was later determined she and her two-year-old child had been kidnapped from Elkhart by an acquaintance.
