November 15, 2013

BREMEN — Katie Lafferty of Bremen High School has signed a letter of intent to attend Saint Francis University where she will swim for the Red Flash.
Saint Francis is located in Loretto, Pennsylvania and has a Division I women’s swimming program.
“Katie has worked extremely hard, and it has been her long-time goal to swim in college,” stated Meredith Eakins, BHS head swimming coach. “We are very proud of this accomplishment and know Katie will represent Bremen well at St. Francis. Congratulations, Katie!”
Lafferty is a two-time Most Valuable Swimmer at Bremen High School and as a freshman was a member of a 400 Freestyle Relay sectional champion. Last year she was a state finalist in the 100 freestyle, finishing in 12th place. Lafferty currently holds the pool records at Bremen in the 50 Freestyle (24.87) and 100 Freestyle (54.10).
