Bremen’s Browning commits to Ancilla soccer

April 2, 2013

BREMEN — As the Ancilla College men’s soccer team takes the field next season, the Chargers will be bolstered by not one, but two Bremen products.
Lions senior Don Browning recently committed to the Chargers, and he will be reunited with former Bremen teammate Andrew Huff as the 2013-2014 season unfolds next fall.
“Ancilla is a great fit for me and an opportunity to prove myself at the next level,” said Browning.
“I… really think we have something special when it comes to Don both on and off the field,” Ancilla coach Darren Gallagher said. “He and fellow high school teammate Andrew Huff bring a work ethic and an already-established chemistry that will make our team better.”
Browning was a three-year varsity player at Bremen under coach Mark Yoder, garnering an All-Northern State Conference Honorable Mention selection in his senior year with the repeat league-champion Lions.
“Don has an incredible attacking intuition,” said Yoder. “He reads the game so well and has the courage necessary to make big plays. Don’s work rate is top-notch, and he will be a great asset to the Ancilla soccer program.”
