UPDATE: Police release names in Culver gunshot deaths

Police Thursday afternoon released the names of the the two Culver residents killed by gunshot in Culver last night.

Michael Price, 44, and 16 year-old Stephen Suthard, both of Culver, died at 419 Madison Street Wednesday night, said town marshal Wayne Bean, who noted autopsies are still in the works. The bodies were discovered in the home by Price's wife, who called police around 10:41 p.m.

A community-wide prayer vigil in connection with the incident was also announced. It is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday night at Wesley United Methodist Church in Culver, is aimed at helping students and adults in the community work through their grief, and will involve various local clergy.

The Culver Academies announced that, though the victims have no connection to the Academies, the school has temporarily restricted town privileges for students and increased security patrols, until the Culver Police Department has completed its investigation.

Marshall County and Indiana State Police assisted with the crime scene processing. Culver's EMS and the Marshall County coroner assisted as well.
