Bourbon council welcomes Servpro E-mail

The Bourbon Town Council officially welcomed a new business to town, Servpro, at the last regular council meeting. The fire and water, cleanup and restoration company based in Plymouth bought the old FOP building on Ledgend Drive and gave it a new paint job — one that has had the town talking. The neon lime green with tangerine orange trim has had some people thrown, others curious, until they realize it is the company’s signature colors.
Company marketing and sales manager Eric LaLone laughed when he explained to the town council Nov. 10 that the trim color was literally named “obnoxious orange.” “We want to be recognized,” he explained. “And that you have,” said council president Larry Wattenbarger.

Veterans recognized E-mail

Local veterans were recognized Wednesday, Nov. 11 by Triton Elementary staff and students during a Veterans Day ceremony. Local students of Webelos Pack #254 acted as color guard to begin the event and Boy Scout Michael Hefner led the packed gymnasium with The Pledge of Allegiance.

Bourbon man in Warsaw two-car accident E-mail

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman is in serious condition in a Fort Wayne hospital Wednesday, Nov. 11 after her vehicle was “T-Boned” in an early morning crash on U.S. 30 near Warsaw.  Beth A. Bumgardner, 47, Warsaw, was crossing the intersection of U.S. 30 and C.R. 200 North that morning at approximately 7:43 a.m. when she was struck in the driver’s side of her vehicle by another vehicle driven by Scott A. Haines, 24, Bourbon.
