Plymouth Schools find suspect who wrote note E-mail

PLYMOUTH — The student responsible for the bomb threat left in a bathroom stall at Plymouth High School on May 6 has allegedly confessed.
On Monday, PHS Jim Condon said, “We have identified the suspect connected to making the bomb threat.”
Condon said, ”Administrators at PHS had a discussion with the individual that resulted in an admission of guilt.”

New zoning ordinance for Plymouth E-mail

PLYMOUTH — The city of Plymouth will have a new zoning ordinance.
Final details were hammered out in a marathon session of the Plymouth Common Council with the council accepting nearly all the suggestions of the Plymouth Plan Commission who put together the document.
In the end, the council took the suggestions of the Plan Commission in all areas of dispute except one. Residents will be able to place two cars with “For Sale” signs on their property, instead of just one.

County roads topic of county council meeting E-mail

PLYMOUTH — It was a day of talking about the roads for the Marshall County Council.
Neal Haeck, county highway superintendent, came before the council to seek some additional money earmarked for fuel. Rising fuel costs have started to hit the county highway department as Haeck prepared to buy another tanker load of fuel. The last load of fuel bought by the county, was $2.96 a gallon for unleaded and $3.65 for diesel. Current prices will make future shipments cost considerably more.

...that they're turning the old jail into a parking lot!! With very few renovations, it could be turned into a juvenile center or something similar. There are too many troubled youth with less than wealthy families from this area that have to be put cities and even states away, and a local facility would allow them to visit their children. With gas prices so high, we need a local facility like that.
