Benefit for Boys & Girls Club set for March 19

February 23, 2011

BREMEN — The Boys & Girls Club of Bremen is preparing to host its second annual Great Big Kid Club event March 19 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Isadore Hall, Bremen. The evening will feature dinner from Hoosier Catering and an art show featuring creations by the children of the Boys & Girls Club of Bremen.

Guests will be able to bid on a host of raffle items, including a 50-inch Panasonic plasma television, an Amazon Kindle, designer purses, golf passes, a website, jewelry and more. All proceeds will be used to defray the costs of providing a Boys & Girls Club to the children and families of Bremen.

The Boys & Girls Club of Bremen opened its doors in August 2009 and has approximately 120 members ages kindergarten to eighth grade. The Club serves an average of 70 children daily after school from 3-6 p.m. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing programs and character development experiences; and hope and opportunity.

Tickets to the Big Kid Club event are $30 for singles, $50 for couples and $200.00 for corporate tables of 10 seats. All tickets include a dinner of broasted chicken, roast beef, assorted salads and vegetables, and brownies. Please contact Ann Holmes (574-546-2605) or Jill Hassel (574-546-2109) if you wish to purchase tickets.
